About the Author

Courtney Burkett is an elementary teacher who has been in the education field for over 14 years. Her passion towards creativity has expanded her career into the imaginative world of children’s stories. Her current published library has been accredited by expert editors and other successful authors. She has received personal positive feedback from young students in the United States as well as from the United Kingdom. 
Cretaceous Elementary is Mrs. Burkett's second published children's book. Her books are designed for young readers, parents, and fellow educators. With her years of experience and knowledge gained from being a teacher in various geographic locations, her writing targets topics that children struggle with during their early academic careers. She combines her stories with cute characters that any culture or demographic background can relate to!
Mrs. Burkett’s  third children’s book “Down With Pens” continues the theme of self improvement in young readers. Publication will be in Fall/Winter 2024.
